I’m on Facebook and Storenvy!

Good neeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwws, everyone!

I’m on Facebook!  Come and take a gander at my page.  I tend to update that a little more often than the blog.  I always feel like I have to have something substantial on the blog before I post it.  On Facebook I’ll post up little things and sneak peeks as to what I’m working on at any given time.

Come on over and give it a look!  Just click on Lily’s Little Loops and you’re on your way.

As you know, I have a Storenvy Shop.  Over there you can order so much more easily than you can through the blog.  Best part is that it’s free for me!  So I don’t have to calculate all the fees that Etsy would’ve given me.  Less money goes to a giant website business and more of that goes to the one single person making all the crochet items you see on this blog and my Facebook page.

The best part is that I’ve linked my shop directly to my Facebook page!  How awesome is that!

It’s so exciting for me to be able to offer all of you several different ways to get to know me and my products.  I have a lot of fun making them, so don’t be afraid to order!

May you always find rupees in your tall grass, friends.

Keep Your Coffee Warm – With Star Trek

I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on my Spock cup sleeve.  In fact, it’s currently one of the prizes you can win on Absurd Nerd and Geeks Make the Best Parents giveaways!  Click on the links to find the post, enter, and win something!  There are a lot of great sponsors.  You’ll be able to choose between yellow, blue, or red for your Trek cup sleeve!

If you like, head on over to my own Facebook page, Lily’s Little Loops, and take a look around!  I post different things on there.  More than what I do my blog.

This is more than just a sleeve.  A sleeve keeps a small portion of your coffee warm (or cold!).  This thing is a cup sweater.

Coffee too hot?  Plop this thing on there.  I get my coffee extra hot (sometimes 190F) and this thing warms up nicely so my hands are good and toasty.

Get iced drinks in the warmer weather?  This keeps your fingers from getting wet from the condensation.  It also keeps your fingers from freezing off if you get the blended drinks.

And here it is!

To boldly go where no coffee has gone before.

To boldly go where no coffee has gone before.

It was a snow day today when I took the photo, so I tucked my Starbucks holiday cup (Venti size) between two branches of a tree.  I do like the red holiday cups, though.

The sleeve was made with the Grande size in mind since I have that reusable kind you can get for $1 at Starbucks.  But it fits a Venti size no problem!  I don’t yet have one for Tall since I rarely (if ever) get the Tall size coffee.

To order your own cup sleeve, head on over to my shop!  They’re $7 + shipping + tax.  I only have a photo of the blue for now, but you can order all three!

Keep it cozy, friends.

It’s that Time!

As you can see I’ve done a big overhaul of the blog.

First, I have a new shop page!  Now all the items I’m currently offering are listed there on my Storenvy shop!

Second, I’ve changed the overall look of the place.  I’m really enjoying the new header.  Thanks to my husband and a past customer for agreeing to let me use their mugs on my blog!

I’m hooking up some Star Trek cup cozies in different colors to showcase for all of you.  I hope to get them done over the weekend.  I do have a final exam on Saturday, after all.

Stay awesome, you guys!  Now it’s time to hook it up!

Rupee Earflap Hat — Fresh Off the Hook

I love earflap hats.  Almost every hat I wear has earflaps.

I love The Legend of Zelda.  I own quite a few of the games and my daughter likes to watch Windwaker Link crawl around and make funny noises.

So I’ve decided to combine these two things into one.  But what would I use for earflaps?  It’s not like Link’s hat has them.  I’ve seen others that make the pointy ears on the sides but I wanted something different.

Something worth … tall grass.  That’s it!

Introducing the Rupee Earflap Hat!

From the front on an icy winter day.

From the front on an icy winter day.

Meet Gertrude!  She’s my new styrofoam head.  It makes placement of the Triforce a little easier than trying to pin it to the hat while I’m wearing it.  I don’t really want a forehead piercing, thanks.

It was a lot of fun to make this.  The beanie is simple enough.  I’ve made Triforces before.  But the earflaps had me stumped.  I had no idea how to make a diamond shape.  But then I remembered that a diamond is two triangles attached at the bottom.  So there we go!

For now, the hat is only available in red until I get samples of the other colors made up.  When I’m done, it’ll be available in:

Red, blue, green, yellow, grey (silver in the game), purple, and orange.  Now you can carry your currency on your head.  Near your face.  I feel that’s best.

Here’s a shot of lovely Gertrude from the side.

Because currency is best on your face.

Gertrude is more than happy to sit outside when it’s 20F and model a hat.  I, however, was not so happy to take the photo when it’s 20F.  But at least it was warmer than it is today!

If you’re interested in purchasing this hat, feel free to head on over to my shop page!  It’s new.  All colors are available and I’m working on samples to show you!

HEY! LISTEN!

So I was looking around on Facebook and decided to post up a new hat to NerdsSayWha?

I did have it plain, which you can also order, but I added something at the behest of one of the admins, *J.  It was a really good idea, too!

Introducing the Navi hat!  Now you can LISTEN and WATCH OUT all day long.

Hey! Listen!

Hey! Listen!

You can also get the hat without embellishment!

For all of your composing needs.

For all of your composing needs.

If you want a Wind Waker-style hat with the Triforce rather than Navi, I’ll have that available soon.

Zelda is one of my favorite video game franchises.  I used to love playing it for hours!  Be it on the Game Cube or the NDSL, I adore almost all of the games.  The only one that I make a face at is Majora’s Mask.  But I don’t know too many people who have that particular title as their favorite game, either.

Take this, it’s dangerous to go alone.

You can pick up one or both of these in my shop!

dah-dah-dah-DAAAAAAAAH!

HEY!  LISTEN! HEY!

How many of you enjoy The Legend of Zelda games?  ALL of you?  I love them.  Ocarina of Time is my favorite, followed by Twilight Princess.

It was the love of Twilight Princess that I created this hat.  I love this hat.  Presenting… the Twilight Princess-inspired Legend of Zelda Triforce Link hat!

Take this with you!

Take this with you!

This is me, modeling the Link hat.  I looks like a typical slouchy hat, but it really isn’t.  Behold!  The back!

It's really rather long.

It’s really rather long.

I’m of average height, so this thing is really long.  Want another picture?

How about from the side?

How about from the side?

This is the hat from the side, so you can see where it sits on your head and where it’ll end.  It’s a really nice hat and I think I’ll be wearing it this fall and winter.  I decided to use Twilight Princess as the inspiration because it’s a little less eye-searing green and a little more grungy, foresty green.  If you look, you can see I put the Xs on the side for authenticity.  The band is made to look like ribbing so it’ll fit better on the head.

Want to see the Triforce up close?  Sure, you do!  Here it is:

Power, Wisdom, and Courage

The cost is $45 + shipping + tax.  And please keep in mind that these are made after you order.  It takes a little time to make them, so you have to be patient.

Coming soon: Navi.

Custom Orders on Elemental Sprites Special Update

If you would prefer to have a custom order on the sets of Elemental Sprites, these are the buttons for you!

All orders are technically custom orders, but these specific buttons are for you if I do not have the yarn you are looking for.  Previously, I chose a yarn for you or you chose from the stock I have.  In this case, these are for you if I do not have the yarn that you want in stock.  It’s a little more per set to cover a tidbit of the cost of yarn.  I’m not charging for the full price of the yarn because I will be using it in other projects.  It’s only a very small fraction to help cover the cost.

I hope you enjoy the immense customization of these.  They’re great learning tools for families with smaller children who want to learn about the elements.  Please keep in mind that, for now, I’m only offering ones with button eyes.  These are not intended for children under 3 years old as the eyes can be chewed off by sharp baby teeth and can pose a choking hazard.  I plan on getting safety eyes for the little ones a bit later.
